Though I do not support any attack on judges, is it a case of barrister's rushing to the support of the judiciary because they will be joining those ranks soon enough? Can't recall the last time a judge stuck up for a solicitor, but can recall when barristers stopped supporting solicitors over legal aid cut strikes. It's been each for their own for a while, strange to see this lukewarm show of unity for a divided system, even if it is under the guise of protecting the Rule of Law.
