From The Daily Telegraph, today;

Michael Lloyd, the AA’s director of insurance, said: “AA members are rightly concerned about the upward pressure on the cost of running a car, not least the rising cost of insurance.

“That there over 800,000 small injury claims registered through the Ministry of Justice small claims track last year, of which 750,000 are estimated to be whiplash injury claims is, frankly, shocking.

It is frankly shocking that Michael Lloyd does not seem to know the difference between the Small Claims Track and the Claims Portal.

It is frankly shocking that our Justice Secretary would openly say that compensation is a 'payday' and applaud restrictions that 'crack down' on genuine, if in her opinion 'minor' claims.

Is it not her remit to ensure access to justice not 'crack down' on it ?
