Last night on channel 4 I saw an undercover reporter expose a gang who stage accidents to claim compensation for whiplash.
I wasn’t in the least bit surprised because we all know the problem don’t we?
We have compensation system where you can claim whiplash injuries at the drop of the hat without real proof of injuries.
We all know that this must be extremely tempting to the vast majority of people when they have a bump and we all know CMC’s are trying their best to rack up claims persuading people to make claims
The politicians know all this and the warning signs have been there for some time that they will take action and yet we have heard nothing from the Law Society
My regret is that politicians will no doubt have formed an unfavourable impression of the profession. For someone who doesn’t work in PI this is of real concern.
