The Court of Appeal has been whining for the last 20 years about being inundated with LiPs who fail to comply with case management requirements, appeal every judgement and Order irrespective of merit and are ill-prepared if at all. One can only observe that the learned gentlemen and Ladies have brought it upon themselves, as we all know. What is more, these uppity LiPs complain to the Ministry at the drop of a wig if they don't receive respectful treatment at the hands of HM Judiciary. God, that must hurt! It reminds of the time the late and unlamented HH Judge Bentley belittled a lady Solicitor Advocate appearing in Sheffield Crown Court. The Lord Chancellor (a proper one) gave him a "right seeing to" as we yokels humorously say. I can't see Miss Truss getting stuck into the Court of Appeal. Open season for LiPs.
