Absolutely agree with Marshall Hall: welcome to our world, your Ladyship. A peek at the Small Claims files (in particular) of any County Court would reinforce this point, as would a glance at Private Law Family files (if that were permissible). I can feel (yet) another amendment to the CPR coming on - although nothing in what I say detracts from the force of the underlying point about public funding and its withdrawal for so many types of case: it's not rocket science, HMG.
