Certainly on fast track matters the incentive will be to settle pretty much following Defence before the fee becomes payable on allocation as it reduces the jump to column B fixed costs by a large margin.

It may even wipe out the need for column B as some courts demand the fee a few weeks after allocation and several months before the actual hearing. I imagine this will be the case going forward now as a nice little money earner for the courts.

If it does then you need column C to pay for the hearing fee.
