The reforms are on any analysis and from any political perspective a disgrace and I have made my views explicitly clear to our MP Mr Brady both in correspondence and in person.

The connection between premiums and claims costs is, as I have pointed out not direct and causal but casual and of substantially secondary import when taken against the return on investment from premiums.

There will, even if the reforms are implemented in the most egregious form no savings on premiums: but there will be a significant loss to HMG.

The connections and financial relationships between HMG and 'big business' has always had an unpleasant umbra but this is no different now then ever, although in this case there is a worrying 'proximity' between some of the protagonists.

My view is that if you wish to engage in debate and seek to inform and persuade the other of the strength of your evidence and the merit of your arguments it is generally not best to insult them before they open your skele.
