You won't sorely miss me? A defendent PI lawyer? An honest and hard working solicitor who has spent 7 years plus 2 years training and 4 years at uni/college of law and £20k to get where I am. What about the fact that I qualified at a firm who could only offer training in PI or legal aid family....rock and hard place springs to me when qualifying and trying to secure work. Anyway I did secure work but certainly wasn't batting away jobs and took the only one I was offered. I then spent 3 of the last 7 years being crippled with fear of being made redundant. I was eventually made redundant....twice in 6 months.

I retrained from motor work to industrial disease to desperately try to stay in work. I took a £5k pay cut. I work incredibly long hours for a very average salary.

All my friends earn more than me and have achieved more. I feel like a failure every day. But I'm not. I'm a qualified solicitor. But I'm also facing the fear again of redundancy if these reforms come in.

I can't strike. I can't get any sympathy from the general public. I don't know what I'm going to do.

Merry Christmas. And thanks for your support.
