It is indeed, Anon @13.52. When in practice I acted in a few neighbour disputes, and with the single exception of my one and only contested probate case, they were the most vicious and unreasonable cases, the conduct on both sides being at times intemperate, ill advised and sometimes plain bonkers.

None of my cases ever reached the dizzy heights (or awful depths) of this case, as described in the judgment after trial. The humorous comments are all very well (although 'the Pig Allegation' was a tiny part of the factual history), but the costs judgment should be taken to heart and thoroughly explained to any would be litigants in whom all reason about their case seems to have departed - which from my limited experience means all neighbour disputes!
