Dear Law Gazette,

In 2016 I wrote to both Law Society and SRA in the following terms:

"My rationale is that I understand that the SRA has been a consultee in respect of deregulation of legal services and also that the Legal Services Board has been under consideration as a Super Regulator.

1] How many formal complaints - if any - about the Office of Legal Complaints has either SRA or Law Society received since the introduction of the Jackson Reforms? If you cannot be precise, could you state whether to your knowledge there have been any such complaints?

2] How many formal complaints - if any - about the Legal Ombudsman has either SRA or Law Society received since the introduction of the Jackson Reforms? If you cannot be precise, could you state whether to your knowledge there have been any such complaints?

3] How many formal complaints - if any - about the Bar Council has either SRA or Law Society received to date since the introduction of the Jackson Reforms? If you cannot be precise, could you state whether to your knowledge there have been any such complaints? If you cannot be precise, could you state whether to your knowledge there have been any such complaints?

4] How many formal complaints - if any - about the Law Society have been received by the Law Society and/or the SRA since the Jackson Reforms were introduced? If you cannot be precise, could you state whether to your knowledge there have been any such complaints?

5] How many formal complaints - if any - about the SRA have been received by the SRA and/or Law Society since the Jackson Reforms were introduced? If you cannot be precise, could you state whether to your knowledge there have been any such complaints?

6] How many formal complaints - if any - about the Legal Services Board have been received by the Law Society and/or the SRA since the Jackson Reforms were introduced. If you cannot be precise, could you state whether to your knowledge there have been any such complaints?"
