Ok. I understand, you are referring to the fact that Solicitors as they were - they weren't properly defined even when you say they were as there was no real definition of what one was until the later 1600's, or Attorneys were clerical officers for the Courts (or awaiting call to the Inns). I ca see why loosely speaking you may see them as claims handlers in a way. I understand now. But there role was really recording the Courts inner workings.
