I am laughing myself silly at the idea that the current training arrangements are concerned with the "ability to recognise ambiguity and deal with uncertainty in law" and "to produce a synthesis of relevant doctrinal and policy issues".

Have those who write this stuff actually done the LPC? Have they seen how little basic law is understood by many students who have passed the so called "academic stage"?

Students can pass the LPC without being able to write well-stuctured and grammatical English, let alone 'produce a synthesis of relevant doctrinal and policy issues’.
