I'm actually surprised that only 13% are working more than 48 hours a week. I would have expected it to be a lot higher.

I am recently qualified, and as a trainee (and indeed now) always worked more than 48 hours, while earning a lot less than the recommended minimum. I imagine that's fairly common.

The fact is, most junior lawyers seem to work much longer hours and for less pay than their non-lawyer counterparts.
