Well said, Anon1.20. All I can add is that i am glad I did not serve my articles of clerkship under Jacqueline Emmerson. We articled clerks had a great time in Eastbourne 1973-76, all meeting up at about 5.30 p m to go for a pint somewhere on a Friday evening, The Pilot, The Lamb, The Light House or The Beachy Head Hotel, or just The New Inn in South Street. We seemed not to have a care in the world and we discussed any issues we might have with one another. Those were the days, sadly long since passed and never to return, I fear.
