"Contacted by telephone, Turkey’s embassies told MICT staff that they would not accept communications from the tribunal."

This phrase is a gem as well. Lest we forget, we're not talking about about some treaty-based international tribunal to which Turkey may or may not be a party, but we're talking about a Mechanism (the MICT) set up by the UN Security Council, acting under Chapter VII of the Charter, see UNSC Resolution 1966 (2010).

Maybe someone could ask the Security Council what it thinks about Turkey being so contemptuous towards the Court? (Although, if we look at the permanent member governments on the UKSC from Friday onwards, perhaps nevermind....)
