When a politician says something is 'robust' they are not referring to the evidence reviewed but the certainty of the decision. Only the protests of voters (and certainly not experts) will change political minds. Sadly, I expect the public doesn't care greatly, as a whole, because wither the exception of conveyancing, probate and wills, most private legal civil work will be a 'distressed purchase' and few imagine such a thing could ever happen to them.
