But the data was not "sold" as suggested, the information is passed as per the policy booklet, why would the poster have legal cover (sometimes at extra expense) but then call to STRICTLY refuse such cover when an accident happens? it makes no sense at all, requesting the insurance firm to close a claim I can understand if the poster wanted to deal directly with the third party but calling to request no details given to other parties (despite the policy wording saying the insurer will do this) is very unusual, I think the policy wording is there for a reason and I again see no breach but a simple misunderstanding, the poster really should read the policy booklet more carefully
