When a barrister joins a Chambers that the Bar Council notifies the ICO so that the annual subscription levied by the Bar Council will include the Bar Council notifying the old Chambers. when a barrister leaves, and the ICO, and similarly notify the new Chambers when a barrister joins, and the ICO too. That way the Barrister can also have a reminder as part of their annual subscription and not fall potentially foul of the ICO who are now much more determined it seems to enforce legislation as the CPS also carried the issue of the barrister who faced charges under the DPA1998 section 17. This is why I feel that the Bar Council should have notified you of my suggestion.
