Let me correct you on certain matters before your self aggrandisement as a 'solicitor' overtakes your rationality and 'common sense' in these matters.

Your original comments were both trite and naïve. You wish to criticise my posting by moving and misdirecting away from my opinion I had expressed. You did this by concentrating on rights of redress and how well 'insured' the professional maybe. You chose to disregard why I thought McKensies' Witness/Friend has a role in the court. No doubt under the absurd impression the best representation will always be obtained by those who 'have studied'. Which as a myth has long since been dispelled. The 'closed shop/world' of the legal profession will need to accommodate the many advancements in computer software progress whereby products such as :http://alug.advanced-legal.co.uk/products/solicitors/iris-law-business.aspx
could be used by anyone. Even you possibly!

Then there is also the encouragement of Her Majesty who wish to reduce costs:

However I do concede that many who complain about poor service/bills may well indeed not understand the merits and demerits of the complaint. This then is surely the fault of the system. I have heard countless conversations where clients are simply left behind and bewildered because the professional has chosen to speak 'legalese'. It may be an attempt to impress, but more often it amounts to nothing then verbal garbage. I am sure that you are familiar with that aswell.

On an end point, because I simply can no longer be bothered with you, I made the point only 'clients or the taxman' pays the practice insurance. You adequately demonstrated I was indeed correct:
"£5 of my hourly rate insures me against any claim you wish to make. If I reduce the rate by £5 you will not be able to claim. What would you like to do?"
I would like you to take £5 out of your pocket and personally pay the insurance so you can sleep comfortable at night knowing it does not rely on sky high charges to the client and potentially defrauding the taxman.
