What will resonate with public is a reaffirmation of core professional values, coupled with the idea, that a justice system, underpinned by such values, must be available for the "ordinary" citizen, so beloved by the PM.

A bit of passion by the Law Society would also be appreciated, to shout out loudly the above message, on behalf of a demoralised and resentful profession.
