I would be interested in statistics as to which party brings proceedings and what grounds they cite.
Are allegations of adultery more frequently made by men for example, whilst unreasonable behaviour is more often cited by women?
If the grounds are "gender neutral" then I accept Mr Shaw's point. I suspect however, that there was just a touch of sexism in the judge's comments surrounding Mrs Owen's grounds for divorce.
