Support is an interesting word. What does the Gov`t think it means? Access to on-line advice or perhaps a telephone help-line. Maybe if the problem is slightly more difficult one single Organisation maybe tasked with "supporting" the client. All of this reeks of a potential bidding process, diminution in the number of suppliers and eventually denial to access to justice. Clients don`t like to travel miles to see a solicitor. Until recently there was a solicitor on every high street. Now the numbers are beginning to dwindle. Pathetic rates of pay, high rents and increasing business rates are driving out lawyers and the customer will bear the brunt of that. Easy access to justice is a key indices of a civilised society. Soon I doubt that a high street lawyer will be that easy to find. Sadly we live in an era of change. Clients desperately need advice. That is never going to change. Just hoping you can Google correctly and understand what the Computer says is never going to solve that problem at a stroke.
