I can't see the Hotel or Tour Operator displaying signs along the lines of "Poor food hygiene standards operate in this area. If you become ill as a result of eating any of the food on your all inclusive holiday, please report the matter to .... " can you?

Not everyone knows that they need to report that they have become ill just as not everyone knows that they have a claim for injury until they hear the advert on the radio or read the advert in print somewhere.

And who is to say that the Hotel and/or Tour Operator "conveniently" forgets to record the reported incident in any event.

Let's not chuck the baby out with the bath water in respect of this claim type like we did with low value RTA injury claims.
