Mr Bourns' statement (which seems to have been tacked on at the end of this article) is all very well, but what is he going to do about it? "I'm baffled" doesn't cut it.

If he believes the SRA is not acting in accordance with the regulatory objectives or is otherwise acting in a way which may damage professional standards (and thus risk causing harm to the public), is the Society going to (a) take the matter up with the Legal Services Board, (b) mount a judicial review or (c) do nothing while being baffled?

I suspect the profession would much rather see its money spent on a judicial review of the SRA than on Veyo and Socrates.

Over to you, Mr Bourns.
