And that is precisely why these proposals should be supported. No need for indemnity insurance, no third party saying fees are too high....
In fact, what is being created is a true market in "legal services", where yes, the customer decides what they want to pay for what "package". If the customer wants PII included then it can be included at a proper price....unlike now where it is effectively free.
Make no mistake, this is not what I want....but it is what our rulers and indeed the customers want....so let them have it. Personally, I preferred professionalism ie a given reward for a standard of service and conduct.....but that became unfashionable and the Law Society did not even fight for it, indeed was complicit in its destruction.
