The tribunal applied the criminal standard and couldn’t be sure of guilt. That is a world away from a finding of innocence. This firm did tremendous damage to the reputation of our great armed forces. In addition, internal emails referring to ‘bribes’ raises serious questions. Instead of attacking the SRA, Mr Day should be acknowledging that things went wrong and lessons would be learnt.
