I saw that the Law Commission considered that it was too complicated and not " down with the kids enough" to comply with the formalities required to produce a will as King William IV enacted. There is a REASON why it's difficult and formal to make a will. It's because people cheat and lie and steal. I really cannot believe that anyone who promulgated reform has ever got their hands dirty with a probate dispute. What you want above all other things, is for there to be certainty about execution. Why do the great and the good imagine that our forbears gave us the present law. Because they were all too aware of the nature of man, which is the important question here, not ease and convenience.
