Marshall, I accidentally pressed the thumbs down button when I meant to press thumbs up. I really must get used to these modern phones! On a serious note, whilst I think it is difficult for Judges to speak out, the Government know that someone in the legal profession will always act pro bono on cases such as this, so why fund it or allow access to justice? Yes in one way by doing so we do the Government's dirty work for them, but those who acted pro bono should be applauded. Of course the only people who will do so will be those from within the legal profession.
