In the days when I did resi, I'd tell leasehold flat buyers (I woudn't act on leasehold houses) about these ground rents but they didn't care... they wanted the shiny new property and that was the end of it. I would tell them that it won't be shiny and new for ever but the ground rent will still be there. Most simply didn't care, that was tomorrow's problem.
