Opportunity missed.

Such a letter from the shadow Justice Secretary could and should have been both an excellent source for debate, and a natural corollary to the Supreme Court decision on Employment Tribunal Fees.

Sadly, neither is likely to be the case in the light of the vindictive, patronising, and attempted pointscoring way in which the letter is written.

When one factors into the equation the fact that Mr Burgon is a solicitor, the net result is that this appears patently to be an opportunity missed. With the number of barristers that Mr Corbin has recently appointed to his shadow front bench team, perhaps Mr Burgon might have been better advised to pass his draft to one of his Counsel colleagues for their approval/amendment, prior to its publication.
