He may have been lucky not to have been charged with perverting the course of justice - maybe tribunals are not covered in this area of the law.

I knew a solicitor who acted for a client who was charged under an alias. Under that name the client had no record. He did not mitigate on the basis of good character - but did not correct the prosecution's error. He got 6 months and was struck off.

The penalty was merciful given that he contested the case - how?
