I'd like to see the law changed. My sister got my mother to sign over control in the days after my fathers death. She had early signs of dementia, not picked up by the solicitors. I was not told for 5 years, during which time my sister used her power for her own financial and personal gain. The solicitor apologised to me for having the ability to make such a damning arbitrary decision. Too late.
