Tobias Ellwod appears to be using the fact that there has been some ‘exceptionally protracted’ claims in order to justify stripping our service personnel of some of their basic rights. As anyone who has ever been involved in litigation against any arm of the state will know, that fact that any claim is not quickly resolved, never mind becoming exceptionally protracted, is down to the deny, deny, deny culture that exists, even for the most overwhelmingly strong claims.
