James Bowers, I agree.

Looking at this case and others that are broadly similar, I think some who were struck off may feel hard done to. But they did not, or maybe could not, avail themselves of expert medical evidence.

I'm pretty sure that "blind panic" came into it somewhere though in some of their cases.

However, why in a humane workplace is there any need for such a feeling? Everyone makes a mistake. When I did nearly 50 years ago and owned up to it as soon as I realised what I'd done, my boss helped sort it out.
