I find it hard to understand how this case is not one involving dishonesty. She faked a letter in order to try and avoid the consequences of what was, presumably, her own negligence and misled other lawyers.

However, given the medical evidence I am personally glad that she has been given a second chance, although I do understand the view that she may have been lucky and that others in similar circumstances who have been struck off my not be so sympathetic.
