"We are investing in technology " - how about investing in paying decent money to interpreters? If you think that £20.00 is sufficient for an afternoon's work in a rare language (what I have been offered by a sub-contractor of Thebigword, because they are unable to find interpreters themselves) then you are living in a dream world. Monolingual people often think that interpreting is some sort of mechanical act that can be replaced by machines, as in the automotive industry. Nothing could be further from the truth.
