I too had a Northshore moment when some chaps from London came and spoke to us about a service integration project that we were piloting. Then looking out the window at an intercity going along a local train viaduct (clue: large long and goes over the Mersey) one of them remarked that steam engines looked so much nicer.
I agreed with him but remarked that although the steam railway had been invented here, we too had moved on.
There is life North of Watford but please don't pass it on. We like it the way it is.
