Anonymous at 08.50, why do you question our interests? Are you inferring we make more money if the discount rate remains low, in which case you are is ill informed as you are callous! The discount rate affects future losses and as such are ringfenced from any success a lawyer might receive and therefore we do not benefit from the rate change. We do however care that a seriously injured person receives sufficient to take care of them for the remainder of their lives without worrying the money will expire before they do!
