So when will Lord Bach and the Labour cabinet who began the legal aid cuts apologise for making it easy for successive governments to demolish Legal Aid? I wonder how many people have suffered real misery and hardship thanks to the Access. (???!) to Justice Act 1999? Whilst the content of the report will be welcomed in many quarters, I find it offensive that pioneers of legal aid cuts seek to rehabilitate themselves -no doubt for career purposes- by attacking their political successors who are no better than the 1997 government.
