0h yes, one more thing. The end of the article states that the commission wants the Legal Aid Agency abolished and replaced with an independant body at arm's length from Government. Brilliant. What an innovative idea! That is precisely what we used to have until about 1985 i.e. legal aid used to be administered by The Law Society until someone had the idea of inventing the Legal Aid Board. Well, Lord Bach, it seems you simply want to return legal aid to the system we had long ago. I agree and wholeheartedly approve. Let's do it, and fast, before the whole system disappears and is consigned to history books.
