Even the start of the SDT decision is dreadful.... that Brickley was served on 28 July for a hearing on 9 August 2017. On what planet is that fair and reasonable? How could anyone at the SDT have allowed that to happen?

Zoopla is not always particularly accurate. I have been able to get my house value substantially reduced on it for example (worrying about future annual property taxes) without too much difficulty. £179k presumably half of which belongs to his wife so about £80k which is probably also used to house his children is not a vast sum and to force them into rented housing seems particularly unfair. It is not as if he has 7 properties.
Could they not agree that he pays the £24k as to say £1k a year over the next 24 years?
