I've used this story on another thread but it still makes me laugh, so I repeat it here.

A temp secretary took some dictation - a letter to a senior member of the judiciary. The phrase dictated was 'ipso facto', which she typed as: 'if so, fatso'. Luckily it was spotted before the letter went out, but it amazed me that she hadn't thought to question why the author had apparently felt the need to be so childishly rude.
