Most large defendant firms are entangled with insurers. If they have a claimant arm there is an incentive to pass on details as it’ll be part of the deal.

Plus the insurers will no doubt have a fee sharing arrangement.

Also bear in mind the small print of many policies especially LEI which allow them to do pretty much whatever they want with your data and they restrict freedom of choice.
