Anon @7:14 the difficulty with 'naming' them is the potential for defamation proceedings and also even when one takes proper steps i.e. reporting to the SRA it appears that little or no investigation follows.

I provided an administrator's report to show that a PI firm was owed over £300,000 in commissions in respect of ATE policies where the liability to meet the premium was the client's: in other words the solicitors were arranging policies which contained secret commissions and the inference being that this was not in the client's best interests and was dishonest.

The result? I was thanked for my report but advised that there was insufficient evidence to take the matter further.
