Why the automatic assumption that what the insurance industry say is true?

We have seen enough untruths from the insurers in PI over the last few years, and yet as soon as they make some other statement about holiday claims, there is automatic condemnation of lawyers and victims.

What they say may be correct, I have no idea. But just because the insurance industry makes a statement, we have seen time and time again those statements are often utter rubbish.

Once again there should be analysis and then reaction to the problem if indeed there is a problem. Not knee jerk jump as soon as the insurers say "jump".

Evidence based policy, not knee jerk reactions.
