I have never done a "holiday tummy bug" claim but I have run several Legionnaires Disease claims.
They are difficult to run, denials of liability and causation a matter of course and then there is the difficulty of identifying the source of the infection (much easier now so many more holidays are all inclusive).
Expect incidences of Legionnaires Disease to rise if fixed fees make it uneconomic for solicitors to run these cases. And if you think it'll never happen you, you're probably right, getting rear-ended by an uninsured motorist is much more likely!
