I think blockchain will never sweep lawyers away.
The reasons are:
1. whatever is computer-born will be hackable, sooner or later;
2. the problem is not the existence of the document, but its content and interpretation, for which any common sensed person should rely on a qualified solicitor.
Also, blockchain will not be a substitute/surrogate for Land Registry.
Land Registry should go on line, instead.
Searches should be performed by professionals.
How should an algorythm deal with such things as overriding interests or profit-a-prendre(s)?
In Italy we've been using e-deeds for a couple of years...currently 0,01% of all transactions...e-signature takes place in front of Notary Public to assure certainty.
Whatever blockchain cannot do is to provide inequivocable evidence of the identity, capacity and willingness of the parties.
