English is a tool for legal dominance – of course it is. This is fact – not fiction. The English approach to law is internationally acclaimed and is respected throughout the world. England is a ‘tiny’ Island – but its influence reaches world wide on the international stage. Compared to some other languages in the Indian and Middle-Eastern sphere and even parts of Europe, the English language (at a basic/foundational level) is not difficult to learn at all. Even rural schools in Pakistan and Bangladesh teach English to young children. The influence, impact and lasting legacy of the English language in the past, present and in the future should not be underestimated. (I am still shocked Mr B that ICJ no longer will have an English Judge - it's very sad news indeed).
