Will it do any good? I once asked a judge not to list a matter on a particular day because I had to take my son to a hospital 100 miles away that day. The judge refused. At great inconvenience and much upset I made arrangements for my partner to take my son to hospital and duly turned up at court for the hearing. There was no judge. We were told he had had to take his son to hospital and the hearing was adjourned.
