School run has always been my responsibility, and given that neither my home nor the two schools are anywhere near a court (not surprising since they closed all the courts), this has been a problem for me more than once.

No judge is going to delay the start time for this reason, and the attitude is that if everyone else can get there so can you. Of course the reality is that you hammer yourself to get there and risk your licence, bombing it down the motorway at 90MPH to get to court at 9:38, only to find they've block listed four other cases at the same time anyway and you don't get on until 11:45. And when you do get on, the court's lost the file / social services haven't done the report / etc, etc.
